Review of the new HONOR X8 - the latest mid-range phone from Honor!

The most beautiful thing about this mobile is its design.. A chic design with a light weight of 177 grams and a thickness of 7.5 mm.. A rectangular or flat FLAT frame that is not curved.. The trend that many people liked, and we saw it in the Reno 6 5G, and you liked it.

The shape of the cameras is nice, and the lenses are elegant and large.. The protrusion is reasonable, and there is a transparent case in the mobile box that preserves the cameras.. In general, the shape of the mobile phone really, when you see it in nature, you will like it very much.

the screen :-

6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD + resolution, with a frequency of 90 Hz.. but the screen design is very nice, perhaps this is what made Honor concede in the type of screen.

The hole for the selfie camera is very small, and the edges of the screen are very, very few.. Especially the upper edge is considered non-existent, so this is considered a great advantage in the mobile.. And as I explained to you, this comes at the expense of the screen quality.

The screen is IPS LCD, not AMOLED.. Therefore, it will have poor color contrast and lower brightness than competing phones that have an AMOLED screen, such as the Note 11S.

If I rate the screen as IPS LCD, then it is good, its colors are reasonable and its brightness is reasonable..but of course I would have liked to see an AMOLED screen, it would have been a great strength in favor of the mobile.

the performance :-

Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor with 6 nanometer technology .. with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 6 GB of RAM, and they have 2 GB of Extra RAM with RAM Turbo technology.

The daily performance of the processor is sweet.. energetic, saves on consumption.. my problem with him is that in games it is not the best thing, it plays PUBG on Medium Graphic.. the experience will be good without cutting, but it will not get the best quality.

We have tried more than one phone with the SD680 processor .. The fastest of them so far is the HONOR X8 .. It surpassed the Realme 9i and the Redmi Note 11, thanks to Honor’s very light and stable interface.

What is RAM Turbo technology?

Honor has modified its software so that the RAM of the mobile phone can accommodate a greater number of applications without closing these applications. Other than reloading.

Honestly, the matter is very different.. I compared the mobile phone to Realme 9i, which comes with the same processor, and I found a terrible advantage in favor of the X8 in keeping programs in the background.

In general, with regard to the processor in this price category, you will not find anything other than the SD680 if you want low heat, battery savings, and daily performance.

Safety and other factors:

The fingerprint is located on the power button.. It is very fast and practical and does not have any challenges.. As for Face Unlock, its speed is very reasonable.

Unfortunately, the phone does not have NFC.. It also does not have stereo sound. The phone has a very mediocre sound.. Unfortunately, there is no real proximity sensor because the upper edge of the screen is very small.

The software here is based on Android 11, while all new mobiles come with Android 12. By the way, Google services are working officially and stably without any mobile world problems.

As for the network, whether calls or Wi-Fi, it is excellent to the maximum degree. If you are afraid of Xiaomi or Realme because of the network, then Honor offers you a network that is literally nothing wrong.

the battery :-

A small 4000 mAh battery .. but its actual performance is excellent, it will provide you with a performance close to the 4500 mAh battery in another mobile .. sane software and an efficient processor, the battery performance is average and is not considered a defect at all.

The included charger has a capacity of 22.5 watts. It is not the fastest charger in this category because we see regular 33 watt chargers in this category.. but charging the battery in a simple hour and minutes, because the battery is basically not large.

A 64-megapixel primary rear camera with an F/1.8 lens slot, a 5-megapixel Ultra Wide lens with an F/2.2 lens slot, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a 2-megapixel isolation lens, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an F/2.5 lens slot.

The main rear camera produces normal pictures.. of medium quality, not full of details, nor are the colors saturated. Average pictures.. identifying the edges in the portrait is reasonable, not bad, and not wrong.

When the lighting is high, you will see that the colors of the photos are not correct.. and the photography is in low light, the quality is reduced by two times.. and when you turn on the Night Mode, the image remains acceptable, but the exposure is very high.

When I compared the mobile with the Realme 9i in the rear camera, I found a clear superiority of the 9i's photos in most scenarios, with a slight difference.. except for the intense sun scenario, in favor of the X8, with a clear difference.

As for the selfie, it performs well.. I liked it very much, contrary to what I expected.. The color processing is very nice, the details are many and clear, and it takes an excellent look for the pictures.. It is strange that the selfie is better than the rear camera.
